The Sweater Weather Tag

Woo I love sweater weather so it's very appropriate to be doing this tag for you all!

1. Favorite candle scent?
I love candles with a vanilla scent all year round, the room just smells like you've been baking, so Vanilla Cupcake by Yankee Candle. I also am loving Summer Scoop by Yankee Candle, yes I know it's no longer summer but to me the scent is more of a fall/winter scent. And lastly I'm loving Damson and Pomegranate by Tesco, it's fruity but I also get a spicy smell from it.

2. Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate?
Coffee all the way, I loooooove coffee yummy. I do drink tea and hot chocolate also but I have to be in the mood for them which is not too much.

3. Do you switch up your makeup routine for the season?
Not really too much, usually just shades of lipstick. I opt for the dark berry and purple colors. I have 3 favorite lip combos; first is Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Dark Night Water - Oops or Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade 663 Va Va Violet, over the Barry M Lip Liner in the shade 11 Plum they are the purple ones and go together like a dream. The second combo is a berry combo which is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in the shade 18 Violin Strass and the liner is the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in the shade 064 Obsession.

4. Favorite Thanksgiving food?
I'm from the UK so we don't celebrate thanks giving but my favorite food in the fall time would be my dad's or nan's roast dinners, they are scrumdiddlyumptious.

5. Hats or scarves?
I'm not to big on either but I if I'm cold it would be a scarf, my hair keeps my head warm.

6. Most worn sweater?
Any of my over sized sweaters are all over worn.

7. Must have Fall nail polish?
Barry M 161 Vivid Purple, 303 Bright Purple, 273 Raspberry, 355 Gold Mine Glitter & Essie Bahama Mama.

8. Football games or jumping in a pile of leaves?
Again in the UK Football here is different to the US. And I don't do either as Football bores me to tears and I never really come across leaf piles.

9. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Leggings all the way, they're a staple to my wardrobe all year round!

10. Boots or UGGs?
Boots because they're so versatile and the UK weather for fall is a lot of rain so UGGs just get ruined.

11. What is your #1 favorite thing about Fall?
The shorter days and cold weather that you can snuggle up in bed with your loved one and watch films while drinking coffee. Ahhhh bliss.

12. Do you have a song that gets you in the Fall mood or just a song you're loving at the moment?
I don't have songs that get me in the mood for fall because, when it's passed Halloween the Christmas songs are playingggggg yay.

13. What is the Fall weather like where you currently live?
Very cold, foggy and rainy.

I hope you liked this tag, and if you want to do it then please do it. If you post it then let me know in the comments or if you haven't got a blog then feel free to leave your answers in the comments also. Thank you, much love to you all.

Drugstore Haul #4

Here I am back with another drugstore haul, I just can't help myself I have to have a browse in Boots and Superdrug every pay day and end up buying stuff I want and need even though I know I wouldn't use some of it on an everyday basis. This is a collective haul over the last couple months, they weren't all bought in one shopping spree.

First up is the two skin care products I bought. The BiorĂ© Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser I saw on LaurDIY's Night Routine video and it got me interested as I need a good face cleanser and she said many good things about it so I look up reviews of it online and came across so many good ones and decided I was going to try it out. I'll do a review on this product once I've used it for a while. The last product is Nivea Creme Moisturizer which is used for your face and body. My nan and mum have used this since they were young girls, it's always been their top and most used moisturizer, they swear by it. My nan is 82 years old and looking at her face she looks like she's in her 60's, I'm not exaggerating. She's always had people say to her she looks young and well for her age which she says it's thanks to using Nivea everyday since she was around 18. So I've grown up with using this moisturizer and I've always loved it, it's so moisturizing and kind to skin, I use it for my face, neck and to remove my eye make-up (it works so well for that by the way) I've not discovered any other moisturizer better than this, that's why I'm always going back to this one and with the cold months well and truly arrived I thought I'd best buy this well loved baby.

Hair products are next, which is my favorite topic! My local Boots store has recently finally got all the OGX Hair products so that got me super excited and immediately wanting to try another shampoo, conditioner and oil. As I love the wonder fruit/nut/seed that is coconut with all the good benefits it has for hair I thought it would be rude if I didn't try either the Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner or the Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner first. I went for the Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner simply because what is said on the bottle drew me more to it. Then I got the Thick And Full Biotin And Collagen Weightless Reviving Oil Treatment as I know biotin is a supplement that many people including me use it for hair growth so I wanted to give it a try and the oil and serum I'm currently using for my hair just isn't cutting it.

Now for the make-up portion of this haul. First up is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge also known as the beauty blender, I've seen countless of good reviews on this and after stopping myself buying it for months I decided to bite the bullet and buy it to try. I don't use foundation on a daily basis simply because I'm lazy and my skin isn't too terrible but after seeing many reviews once again on the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation I wanted to give it a try, I got it in the shade 52 Vanille. The next product I just come across it while looking for another product, I wanted an actual contour shade instead of using bronzer to contour as that wasn't really working out so I saw the Seventeen Define And Conquer Kit and thought I'd give it a try in the shade fair as that was the only shade they had in stock.

Again to go with the contour topic I went in Boots to specifically buy the Natural Collection Solo Eye shadow in the shade Crushed Walnut. Yes I know it's an eye shadow but Kaushal Beauty uses it for contour always talks about how amazing it is for that and I've also seen people using it for their eyebrows. So this product is a multi purpose one and I will be using it for contour, eye shadow and try it out on my brows to see if the shade is a match. And while I was getting that eye shadow I come across the Natural Collection Duo Eye Shadow in the shade Mocha And Latte which are a matte dark brown and champagne shade, I thought it would be perfect for an everyday eye look. The champagne shade for inner eye highlight, and all over the lid color and the brown for the crease.

The last four for this haul are lip products. I was really wanting a nice dark purple look, so I was looking in Superdrug for a certain lipstick that Amelia Liana used in her Day To Night Routine video which is the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Dark Night Water - Oops but they didn't sell it in my local Superdrug store so I looked at what they did have and found the perfect one which is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade 663 Va Va Violet, I also wanted a lip pencil to go with it and found the Barry M Lip Liner in the shade 11 Plum the two go together like a dream. I also got another lip look which is another purple one but more of a muted look than the other one. The lipstick is Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in the shade 18 Violin Strass and the liner is the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in the shade 064 Obsession.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you want me to review any of the products after I've had enough time using them then feel free to leave me a comment of the ones you want me to review or contact me on any of my social media sites that are linked at the end of every post and the top right of my blog. Thank you.

Hair Update!

So as the title states, this post is a hair update, not an update on the growth of my hair from the Operation Healthy Long Locks project I started. The update on my hair is the color! Since I had strayed from my blog about 5 month ago, you last saw my hair was OmbrĂ© and then I took the blonde higher up my hair so it was 75% blonde and 25% my natural hair color which is at my roots. Many would say my hair wasn't much OmbrĂ© as there wasn't much of a gradient section as usual OmbrĂ© but there was a little so it looked blended and not just a clear line from brown to blonde.

I've always been anti-bleach in my hair because I want and strive for my hair to be as healthy as can be and grown much longer, with your hair bleached it can do a lot of damage. But I thought what the heck and as cheesy as this is, it's true "you only live once!" I loved having Ombré but I wanted more blonde than I originally did have, and so I went 75% blonde. It worked for me because it sort of was a way of me being a blonde head but not to the roots as I'm originally brunette so the growth back would be horrendous and I'm not about the life of getting my hair re-dyed every 6 weeks, that is too much. So I opted for it to be so I can leave it for months without need to get it re-dyed which is what I liked about it.

But at the beginning of September I'd had enough of all that blonde, my boyfriend, family and friends told me many times within those short 4 months of having my hair like that, they thought it was awful and they hated it. I ended up hating it myself but it was different for me, the only option for me was to go back brunette. Well I still have blonde in my hair, I had lots of small highlights throughout all of my hair and a light brown all over and I love it. Also I had a trim because obviously with the blonde I had, it did make my ends a little damaged and now it feels, looks and is so much more healthy. I definitely will be keeping my hair like this for a fair long while this time, my hair needs and deserves a rest.

(Top left is my original ombré, top right is the first of more blonde application. Second left is second and last application of blonde as well as second right. The last third row is my hair a couple days after I had my hair dyed with highlights and the last two picture's are my hair now, over a month onwards.)

Thank you for reading, I hope you liked this post. Did you like my hair Ombré, mostly blonde or brunette with highlights? Feel free to leave comments about my hair and all my social media's are linked at the bottom of this post as every post.

Where have I been?!

I would really love to have some sort of an acceptable excuse as to why I haven't posted anything since May, but I haven't to be honest. Yes work has been busy for me, I've had a lot of shifts over the summer. I've had days off of course but I was either going out or indoors, just not focusing on my blog. It is a bummer that I haven't kept up my blog to me because I love to blog and read blogs, it's just i'm not the best at sticking at anything. It's not that I lose interest, I some times get stuck with ideas of what posts to do and with my job not being full time I don't have a ton of money to keep buying products ect. for the purpose of this blog so I some times am limited with reviews and stuff. I also become lazy and obviously I'm a beginner at blogging so my audience isn't very big so I think in my head 'well no one really cares for my blog or if I post' so I drift away without purposely meaning or wanting to.

I really do want to keep blogging and get a much bigger audience because beauty, hair and lifestyle stuff is what I love and literally I want to have my blog succeed not just for me but to help others out with certain topics for their lives.

I am back to blogging & will keep at it this time for sure!
New post will be up TOMORROW early noon.

Drugstore Haul #3

I have a nice little haul here for you to read today! I love seeing what people have bought and the reasons for their purchases, even though they always make me want to go buy what they have got.

First up is St Ives Apricot Gentle Scrub, I'm real lazy with my skin care but with my horrible dry skin I thought I needed a scrub to help clean, unclog my skin and remove the dead skin on my face and I've seen a few Youtube videos featuring this scrub so I thought I'd give it a try. With the sticker saying 'The UK's No.1 Face Scrub Brand' on the package also helped sell it to me.

I've wanted for the longest time to try Soap & Glory products with it being so popular. I finally have bought some body products to try out and hopefully love! I don't have a shower so I kind of annoyed that they mostly have shower washes but I was glad when I saw the Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath, the smell is delicious so I was sold. Next I thought I needed a lotion so I got Soap  & Glory Smoothie Star Body Lotion also mainly because of the smell, to me it smells like yummy popcorn. And lastly I got the Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub as this smell was the most appealing to me out of all the scrubs. What made me happy when I got to Boots was that there was a 3 for 2 on the Soap & Glory Indulgent Bathing Products. So be sure to hurry on up in Boots to catch this deal!

Seeing as I've had my hair dyed a little differently I thought it was appropriate to buy a couple new hair products to help care for my hair in this new state. I saw John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength 6 Effects + Serum in a Youtube video recently and I was automatically sold and wanted it straight away so I had to get it. Then I saw the new John Frieda Full Repair Repairing Oil Elixir and I was running out of my hair oil and thought what the heck I'll give it a try. I managed to get these with the buy 2 John Frieda Products for £8 deal in Boots, I bought these on the last day for that deal so it's no longer valid but I see there is a deal for buy 3 for 2 on selected hair care.

Next I was in Superdrug and saw that it for 3 for 2 on Make-Up so I had to get on in there and have a look. I've seen the Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Mascara advert all over TV and with the original Colossal Mascara being my all time favorite I thought I had to give this a try! My second product was the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown, I was in desperate need for an eyebrow pencil as I hate my current one which is the Maybelline Master Brow Pencil in Soft Brown, it's too soft and blunts very quickly I just found it awful to work with. My third product for the 3 for 2 deal was the Maybelline Color Show Street Artist Top Coat in Artist White Splatter, pretty much because I wanted a new glitter top coat and like the look of this one.

Well that's all the products I got, well aside from a new toothbrush, 2 toothbrush caps and some Sure Men's deodorant for my boyfriend but they're not exciting and are very basic so I left them out. Ooooo no actually I did also buy a book, I know it's not beauty related but everyone and their mother has read this book and I'm late on this bandwagon but I literally couldn't find it in any stores in my town. Well it is now because I found it in Tesco.... And the book is The Fault In Our Stars. I maybe do a blog post on this book once I've finished reading it so stay tuned for that.

For the products I've mentioned I may do reviews on them after I've used them for a while so keep an eye out for those also. I hope you like this post, please comment if you have any of what I bought and whether you like them or not, I'd love to know or contact me on my social media.

The "Getting To Know Me" Tag!

Here I am with another tag post, I love reading tag posts and I love doing them. Sadly I wasn't tagged to do this, but I came across it on the Lazy Days Beauty Blog and decided I was going to do it as I liked the questions.

1. Heels Or Flats?
Flats all the way, I wear heels on occasions and even then I end up having to take them off half way through and putting my flats on.

2. What's Your Favorite Nail Polish Brand?
I can't possibly choose between Barry M & Essie, both brands have such a range of colors & the application and longevity are always good.

3. Top 5 Movies Of All Time?
Hmmm this is a hard one.. definitely Home Alone 1 & 2, I love them. Abduction, Crossroads & Pretty Woman.

4. Who Is Your Favorite Male & Female Singer?
I can feel I'll get a few turned up noses when I say my favourite male singer because he hasn't had the greatest 2 years with the press & has many many haters but it is Justin Bieber. He's been my favorite since 2009 & I've stuck with him all this time because I can see that he is a good guy and he does care about people and his fans, it's literally just the press that make up all the crap about it. Yeah he's done some bad things like getting a DUI, smoking weed ect but I know plenty of boys his age and even younger doing all what he did and more. Yet just because he's in the public eye, he's shunned upon.. I find it disgusting to be honest. Phew I got that all out, and now my favorite female singer is the beautiful, strong and inspiring Demi Lovato.

5. If You Could Take Only 3 Make-Up Products To A Desert Island, What Would They Be?
A brow pencil is a must, gotta have nice brows, I'm not bothered about what certain brand it is. Maybelline The Colossal Mascara & Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Black.

6. What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?
Tangled, love, love, love!

7. What's Your Favorite High End Make-Up Brand?
I actually haven't tried any yet, I don't have high end make-up shops in my town and I don't venture out of town to do shopping that often.

8. What's Your Favorite Drugstore Make-Up Brand?
Either Revlon, Bourjois or L'Oreal.. I really am bad at picking just one when it comes to make-up brands.

9. Describe Yourself In 5 Words?
Weird, bipolar, friendly, independent & loving. I don't have bipolar, well I haven't be diagnosed or gone to try and see if I do but my personality is just like it. My moods change very quickly, on minute I'm happy and hyper then the next I'm angry or sad.

10. Shower Or Bubble Bath?
Showers but unfortunately I have to settle with baths because I have no shower in my house.. BOOOO!

11. Which 3 Products Are On Your Wishlist That You Would Love To Try?
I haven't got certain products as per say but brand wise it would most probably anything Mac!

12. What's Your Favorite Body Cream?
I'm not going to lie, I don't really have one because I rarely use it. I can hardly be bothered after I've bathed haha.

13. Who Is Your Favorite Actor & Actress?
Definitely Adam Sandler, love all his movies and he never fails to make me laugh. And Lily Collins, I love all the movies she's in and she's so pretty.

14. Your Number 1 Female Role Model & Why?
Demi Lovato because she's been through a lot which knowing she's recovered always helps me out in my dark time. When I'm having a bad day I listen to her music or watch her movies/TV show and it helps me out.

15. Who Are Your Top 5 Fashion/Glamour Icons?
Hmm I don't really know, I don't love fashion as much as I do beauty just because I get anxiety when dealing with clothes, a lot of clothing items make me feel uncomfortable and insecure so I just stick to what I find most comfortable. I have body issues and I pretty much have most of my teen years leading up to now which I'm 20. But again Demi Lovato is someone's style I love and probably dress more like.

16. What's Your Favorite Chocolate?
Anything Cadbury's.... that chocolate brand is too yummy!

17. Do You Wear Fake Tan? If So What's Your Favorite Brand?
I don't wear it, I don't care about being tanned it's too much hassle... I'm fine with my natural color.

18. What's Your Favorite TV Program At The Moment?
Always will be Pretty Little Liars, I really can't wait for June 10th when it's back!

19. What's Your Favorite Shampoo & Conditioner Range?
Most probably anything Aussie, they smell so amazing and always make my hair feel amazing.

20. What's Your Favorite Deodorant?
Any of the Dove brand, they all smell yummy.

I hope you like this tag, I tag YOU who is reading this! If you give this tag a try then please leave a link to it in the comments on tell me on my social media.

DIY Hair Mask

Is your hair dry, damaged, over processed, and in need of some TLC? Well this mask I have here for you will give it just the care and love your hair needs, and even better it's homemade with two simple ingredients which are coconut oil and eggs. So you know what exactly is in the mask and is going on your hair, unlike shop bought hair masks which can have ingredients in that you can even say/read yourself. Natural ingredients are much better to use as they have so much good properties within them.

Coconut oil protects and moisturizes your scalp which helps with getting rid of dandruff and also is said to make the removal of lice and lice eggs easier. It improves blood circulation so it helps with hair growth. It's also very nourishing for the hair strands and your roots.

Eggs are rich of protein so it'll help aid in hair growth and thickening it by making the hair follicle stronger and less prone to breakage. It also makes your hair feel much smoother and moisturized.

All you got to do is put a few table spoons of coconut oil in a bowl (the amount depends on your hair length and thickness), place in the microwave for around 30 seconds to where it's melted but it's not boiling or too hot as the next step is to add the egg, (one or two it really depends how much you think your hair needs) if the oil is to hot then it could contribute to cooking the egg and that is what's not supposed to happen. Then all you got to do is mix the two together and slather the mixture all over your hair from your scalp to the ends of your hair. While your doing so give you head a little massage for a few minutes during the application as it will stimulate your scalp and get your blood flowing to your roots. You could just use this mask on your ends if you'd like but I find your hair would benefit more by applying it all over your hair.

I use this hair mask once a month but once a week I will have a hair mask on my hair which will usually be just coconut oil on it's own. Ever since I've used this mask or just coconut oil on my hair it's been much more manageable and is much more healthier. I could never go back to not using these masks, I'd much rather use these than shop bought.

I hope you liked this post and if you give it a try, I'd like to hear how you get on with it either in the comments on this post or on my social media. (links below)

PS. Yes I have had my hair dyed and it is a little different but I will be making a post fully on that as soon as it is properly how I wanted it which shouldn't be too long now.

Chill Day Get Ready With Me Hair & Make Up | First YouTube Video

Hey guys, I'm so so sorry for being MIA.. I haven't got a great excuse as to why I haven't posted other than no inspiration or being lazy haha. But yesterday I decided to try out filming a video for YouTube, just to see how I get on and the best idea I thought of that I was comfortable doing was a Get Ready With Me as I didn't have to talk as I feel awkward talking to a camera right now but I'm working on it.

So without further ado, here's my first YouTube video, I hope it's somewhat watchable. :)

Eeeeek this is so exciting but scary at the same time!!

DIY Yummy & Healthy Smoothie | #BloggersDoItBetter #2

Sorry for the lateness of this post, with Monday being a Bank Holiday I was out of my usual routine and yesterday I had unexpected plans so I couldn't write and get my post up for the 2nd challenge of #BloggersDoItBetter.. but I have it for you now, a nice smoothie.

What you need:
A handful of kale
A handful of spinach
A handful of frozen summer fruit mix
A half of a banana
2 strawberries
A half cup of tropical juice

I had to unscrew the blender half way through blending to give it a stir and make sure everything is blended. Having smoothies is a great way to add your vegetables and fruits to your diet in a very simple but yummy and healthy way.

The blender I use is the Kenwood Smoothie 2Go, roughly costing £30.

And here is my lunch for today which is my salad I make ALL the time, melon for after and of course the smoothie I just made.

My Favorite Lipsticks

I'm not an everyday lipstick person because it can be too high maintenance especially when I've got to work or I'm busy, so I won't wear any. But on my days off or when I feel like it, i pretty much have lipsticks that would go with any mood, season or outfit. And here are some of my favorites that I thought I would show you all, they're in color order that goes from nude to dark.

First is a nude, it's the Revlon Matte Lipstick in 001 Nude Attitude. As pretty much most matte lipsticks, it can cling to dry patches so I would advise your lips to be exfoliated and moisturized with chap stick. Aside from that I love this color, it doesn't wash my lips out as it's more of a peach toned nude.

The second and last nude in my favorites is Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 600 Nude Eclipse. Unlike the first nude this one isn't matte, it's more of a mix lip gloss and lipstick which is the best of both worlds. It's very easy to apply and doesn't wash my lips out as it's also a peach toned nude.

The third lipstick is Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 027 Juicy Papaya. This is a lovely everyday better than your lips color, it's moisturizing and I opt for this when I don't want nothing to noticeable. I love lip butters, they glide on your lips and look lovely whether your lips are dry or not.

The fourth lipstick is Max Factor Color Elixir in 825 Pink Brandy. This is a pretty coral color, it's moisturizing, easy to apply and will look nice whether your lips are dry or not.

The fifth lipstick is Bourjois Rouge Edition in 02 Beige Trench. This is a kind of different color as it's a nude coral that had undertones of purple, I love this shade. It's moisturizing, easy to apply and will look nice whether your lips are dry or not.

This sixth lipstick is Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in 205 Elusive. This is a cute baby pink and I probably wear this the most as it's an everyday color. For being matte I find it moisturizing as it is a balm and doesn't look to bad on dry lips if I'm honest, it's also very easy to apply.

The seventh lipstick is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 835 Berry Couture. This is another one of my most worn, as it's a beautiful pink purple shade and is a lovely pop of color for everyday. It's moisturizing, easy to apply and will look nice on your lips whether they're dry or not.

The eighth lipstick is Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 075 Lollipop. It's a cute pink shade that has a blue undertone, it's moisturizing, easy to apply and will look nice on your lips whether they're dry or not.

The ninth lipstick is Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 005 Crush. On days where I'm feeling of having a noticeably kind of dark lip I pick this one. It's moisturizing, easy to apply and will look good whether your lips are dry or not as it's a balm.

The tenth lipstick is Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 102 Nova. I love to wear this when I'm in the mood for a cute pink lip, it has blue undertones. It's moisturizing, easy to apply and will look good on your lips whether they're dry or not.

The eleventh lipstick is Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick By Kate Moss in 107 Wine. I got this lipstick because it's one of Zoella from YouTube's favorite red lipsticks and she wears it a lot. It's the perfect red for me and I wear this on nights out. Even though this is a matte lipstick it's easy to apply and I don't think it's drying for the lips or clings to dry patches.

The twelfth lipstick is Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in 035 Backstage. As it's a dark color it can be a little hard to apply as any mistake will be very noticeable. It's quite moisturizing but I recommend you to exfoliate your lips before hand as dry patches can be easily seen. But I love this shade when I want a vampy dark lip.

The thirteenth and last of my favorite lipstick is Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 128 Starry Eyed. This is my favorite for a dark lip as I find it's moisturizing and easy to apply. But as it is a dark lip, imperfections can be easy to see so I recommend your lips to be exfoliated first.
