My Eyebrow Routine - Re-shaping, tweezing & filling in.

My eyebrows were looking rather scruffy and were do a good tweeze and a little re-shaping so I thought it would be good to show you how I do my eyebrows.

These are the tools & products I use (I don't use the brow pencil or powder set together I use whatever one I'm wanting to use that day):

(L-R scissors, tweezers, Maybelline Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil in soft brown £2.99, Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara in medium brown £4.99, MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrown Kit £3.50, Eyebrow brush, Real Techniques Brow Brush that comes in a set for eyes £21.99, and a mirror.)

First I brush out my eyebrows, if I'm re-shaping them I  then draw my template on my eyebrows with a white eyeliner following 3 points:
  • Inside point (A) Position a pencil from the outside corner of your mouth past the outside of your nostril to the top of your nose. Where the pencil crosses your natural brow is the best "inside" point for your eyebrow
  • Arch (B) - Look straight ahead into your mirror. Follow an imaginary line straight up through your iris to where it crosses your natural brow line. That's the ideal place for your arch.
  • End point (C) - Position the pencil from the outside of your nostril past the outer corner of your eye. Where the pencil crosses your brow line is the best place for your brow to end.

Then I would trim my eyebrows holding the hair's in place with my eyebrow brush while trimming them with the scissors. Once I feel like they're been trimmed nicely I tweeze all the stray hairs that don't go with the template until both eyebrows are matching and tidy. When that's done I'd wipe the white eyeliner off of my eyebrows and then fill them in either with an eyebrow pencil or powder, whatever one I feel like using that day and lastly I like to set them in place with my brow mascara which adds a little more color.

(btw eyebrows are sisters, not twins so it's near impossible to get them exactly identical. You'll have one eyebrow that is always neat and goes how you truly want and the other one will be the sparse scruffyish one. It's so annoying but that's how it is. As you can see my eyebrow on the right is the scruffy one haha)

Operation Healthy Long Locks

My hair has pretty much always been a decent longish length, apart from a couple awkward cuts when I was younger but aside from that I would say my hair's been long all my life.

I was browsing blogs and saw a post on them documenting on growing their hair, not only longer but also healthier and at the moment I'm trying to take the best care of my hair to get it passed my boob stage as it seems to have stayed that length for years, I would say my hair isn't in a bad state and is fairly healthy. I get my hair trimmed every other time I have my hair dyed, which is probably every 3/4 months. So as I'm doing this, why not document it on here as well, that way i'd be able to see changes more clearly than if I didn't document it.

During this process I'm not going to use much heat tools on my hair, whenever I'd use heat I would use heat protectant and if I'm honest I haven't used heat tools on my hair since new years eve, my natural hair texture is decent, it has a little wave to it but it's not frizzy I like the way it looks. I only heat style my hair when I'm going for night out or a special occasion.

I have a hair treatment that I'm going to use for growing my hair longer and healthy which is the Lee Stafford Treatment For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length, I have read a lot of great reviews about this stuff that it has helped people's hair get longer and much healthier so I'm going to give it a go. I bought this treatment a while a go, used it a few times on the ends of my hair, then pushed the product to the side for no reason but now I dug it out because of all the great reviews. It costs £7.99 which is a little pricey for some people that I've read reviews from as the pot isn't all that big and with the amount you'd put on your hair at a time it won't last as long as say like the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque as an example.

On the pot of the product it says hair growth treatment with pro-growth complex for strength from within. Protein based complex to fertilize your follicles, creating a healthy environment on the scalp to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum potential length."If the earth's not nourished you'll never grow beautiful flowers" What I think people get mixed up with on products when they say they're not doing what they say is that they expect the product to magically grow your hair and make it healthy just by using that. That's not the case, the product helps contribute to long and healthy hair along with your diet. What you put in your body will show on the outside as well. So if you had a healthy diet with plenty of fruit, vegetables, protein ect then you'd have healthier hair, body and overall health. It's not all going to be accomplished by the products you use on the outside of your body.

It also says:
  • Vital hair and scalp complex helps to reduce hair loss.
  • Improves follicle health which in turn increases the ability of the hair to anchor to the scalp.
  • Soothing formulation reduces irritation and moisturizes the scalp.
  • Addresses hair and scalp ageing at the cellular level.
  • Improvement in tensile strength to give body and texture by penetrating the hair reaching the inner cortex.
  • Improves volume and feel of the hair.

How you use this treatment is to grab a nice little palm full of the product and smother it from the roots to the tips of your hair after you have shampoo'd like normal and rinsed, then wait 5 minutes till rinsing the treatment off and after you would condition as normal. I will be using the treatment every time I wash my hair until I feel as if my hair doesn't need to every wash.

Now I've got to admit the first few times I used this treatment I just put it on my ends because I thought it would make my hair greasy and flat if I put it on my roots but now I use it the right way and my hair feels clean and still has my natural volume.

Another treatment I will use is coconut oil, which I will use once a week to drench my hair in for an hour or two before I wash my hair as normal. Coconut oil has so many benefits not only for your hair but your body, skin and overall health. I will be doing a post on coconut oil, much like the post I did with the lemon water.

To make sure my hair is getting as much vitamins ect to it I'm taking tablets which are cod liver oil and biotin as I've read that many people take these for their hair and I used these before Christmas and my hair did feel like it got much longer and healthier but after I'd taken all the tablets I didn't re-buy them until now. I will do a post focused on this pills also asap.

I will document my hairs progress every month and hoping it really does improve, so stay tuned to my results. I have Ombré and I know bleaching my ends isn't going to be the best for growing my hair but I won't be bleaching it often as the effect is meant to be on middle to ends of the hair so growing it out will look nice whatever the wait from bleaching it again. At the moment my hair is a couple centimeters away from the bottom of my bra cups when my hair is pulled round the front and when my hair is down my back it reaches the small/middle of my back, which is a couple of centimeters below my bra strap.

Garnier 2-in-1 Express Eye Make-Up Remover - REVIEW

This product was in my Drugstore haul I posted a few weeks ago and I did say that I would be reviewing all those products on here for you all after I've had time to try them and I've had plenty of time using this product to review it for you all.

As I said on the haul, I had watch a video of glitteralittle on YouTube and she'd bought this product and loved it so I needed to give it a try.

This product is amazing for removing my eye make-up, I can't express how much I love it! On the bottle it says it removes eye make-up perfectly, even waterproof while leaving no greasy residue and I completely agree I put some product on my cotton pad and simply place it on my eye for a few seconds then softly wipe away which gets more than 50% of my eye make-up just like that and after I would just softly wipe over my eye again then go around until it's all removed which it's all wiped off very easily and quickly, even my waterproof mascara which is usually a night mare to get off. Also it says it protects eyelashes in 4 weeks, again I completely agree as my eyelashes are looking and feeling much more healthier and in better condition than before I used this product. It's a very gentle but effective eye make-up remover which doesn't sting my eyes which I am always very wary of when trying out new make-up removers.

If you try this product out partly on my review then be sure to let me know on the comments of this post or my social media accounts linked at the end of this post. Or if you already have tried this product out before I'd like to know what you think of it.

Hair, skin & body health drink - Lemon water

Lemon's are very good for you, they have many benefits for your body, skin, hair and overall health. They're rich in vitamin C and also contains vitamin B, calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.

Body: Drinking lemon water everyday will help you lose weight as it speeds up your metabolism and gives you an immediate natural boost of energy, a tip is to drink lukewarm lemon water as soon as you wake up to get the full effects. It cleanses your stomach which helps get rid of indigestion, bloating, stomach pains and cramps. It detoxifies your liver and strengthens and boosts your immune system. It can also cure almost all respiratory diseases such as asthma. Also it helps your oral health by making your breath fresh. Lemon's are acidic but when inside our body it alkalizes.

Skin: Lemons are full of anti oxidants which helps restore the damaged skin cells in your body. Lemon water purifies your body by washing out the toxins from your blood which keeps your skin clear and glowing. It helps get rid of blemishes, wrinkles and fine lines, making it a great anti-ageing remedy. Drinking lemon water constantly can help cure acne, blackheads and skin infections.

Hair: Lemon water helps strengthen your hair by making your hair follicles and roots healthy and promotes new hair growth so as your hair grows it's condition will be overall healthy and strong. Lemon's are a natural stimulant and since lemons contain the essential vitamins and minerals that aids healthy hair growth such as vitamins C, B,  calcium, potassium, ectLemon water also helps to treat dry scalp and dandruff because of the anti oxidant that lemon's posses which is very beneficial for your scalp, and if you have oily hair it has the ability to reduce the secretion of sebaceous glands that is present in your scalp, which prevents the hair follicles from getting blocked or clogged.

I have only just started getting into drinking lemon water for about a week now after seeing many videos on YouTube about the benefits of drinking lemon water so I thought I'd write a blog post about it. And so far I'm liking it, I only am drinking one pint of lemon water a day which is when I wake up and I have it lukewarm as cold water will shock your body and it won't work as effectively and fast as lukewarm.

I hope you liked this blog post and it helped you in any way. If you do try lemon water out then leave me a comment on here or on my social media sites as I'd love to talk to you.

Grocery haul | Healthy lunch/snack

So I went to the Supermarket today because I had a day off work and I fancied to be all healthy and get all my ingredients from my salad I make and a couple extras. After my blog post of the salad I thought I'd show you exactly the stuff I buy & prices.

I usually go to Morrison's because it's closer to where I live and I don't have to walk all through the town center and see people, yes very unsociable I know haha. Firstly I get the lettuce which is iceberg and I like to buy the twin pack for multiple meals and it's all nicely chopped, washed and ready, it costs £1.09p. Then I have my mixed olives with feta, all included in one because I'm lazy and can't be bothered to buy 2 separate jars of the two types of olives and then the feta cheese which I'd have to chop but in this pack it's already cut for me, this costs £1.59p. I like to have crunch included other than the lettuce so I have garlic croutons which are 60p or 2 for £1. And I need to have dressing with my salad so I get Caesar dressing which costs £1. All together my salad costs £4.28, I think that's nice and affordable for a meal that serves more than once.

I also bought a couple extras as well which is the melon duo packet for a snack in the day, you know to stick to the healthy theme of my salad, it cost £2 or 2 for £3. Lastly I got some lemons which cost 99p. I have a blog post that will be what I use the lemons for, I will post it either tonight or tomorrow, depending on if I'm busy later.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul of my healthy kick and I'm sorry my posts haven't been a lot or not much beauty yet but there will be, I have so many on my reminders to do so stay tuned for many beauty posts.

L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - REVIEW

Hey guys, so here's my first review and I hope I do this product justice as I love it very much.

On YouTube and the Blogger world last year water solution make-up removers were all the rage, well there was mainly one product that everyone was talking about and that was Bioderma but that wasn't all that easy to get your hands on but then other make-up brands started to release products just like it. Thank the God above!

After finally had enough of watching everyone go nuts over Bioderma I decided I was going to look in my local Drugstores for something similar as I read all about Bioderma just so I know the type I'm looking for and within searching the store I found L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution, the beauty of a products.

Let me tell you I will be using this not only to remove my make-up but in the mornings to refresh my skin forever, I have fell in love with it! It says on the bottle it dissolves make-up, unclogs pores and removes impurities and lastly tones and soothes skin. I can tell you all it does exactly all that, after a couple uses I noticed changes right away. My skin isn't all that bad with acne but I do get spots, mostly during the time of month for females and this product has certainly minimized the breakouts around that time, if I do get a spot it wouldn't last too long, just about a day or two and voila it would be gone with no hassle! Also my skin is now very smooth and hydrated, I tend to get very dry skin in the winter, it's horrible but I do notice this product making a difference to that. Before I first tried this product I was skeptical of using it on my eyes because I've tried many make-up removers and wipes that say they are sensitive around the eye area and don't sting them but many of them did sting my eyes especially the liquid forms so I stuck to wipes but this micellar water doesn't sting my eyes at all, it's very gentle and basically water. This product is a miracle in a bottle, I have already gone through 3 bottles of this stuff and I definitely recommend you all to try it out if you haven't as I also bought this for my brothers' girlfriend for Christmas which she also has fell in love with it and I'm also going to be getting it for my mum for her birthday in April.

In Superdrug it originally cost £4.99 but now for some reason costs £3.32, I don't know if this is limited time or a new price change, so hurry to get it for this price in case it is for a limited time. Also there is a deal on saving 1/3rd on selected L'Oréal skin products going on now!

If you try it out partly because of my review then be sure to let me know on the comments of this post or my social media linked at the end of this post how it goes.
